Complementary Activities

In compliance with the Financial Mechanism EEA 2009-2014, the Programme Operators shall organize complementary activities to contribute to the objectives of the Programme with the primary aim of:

  1. Strengthening co-operation between the Programme Operator and similar entities within the Beneficiary States and Donor States.
  2. Exchanging experiences and best practices related to the implementation of the Programme.

To aim these objectives, The NGO Platform of Social Action as Programme Operator of the “Active Citizenship Programme” expects organize the following activities:

SEMINAR "Intercultural Coexistence in Europe: diversity management models"

On 18th June the NGO Platform of Social Action held a seminar within the Active Citizenship Programme called Intercultural Coexistence in Europe: diversity management models, aiming at promoting the exchange of practices of NGOs in three thematical areas relevant to the diversity management in Europe: Roma population, migrant women and the management of the new inner borders that arise in cities as a consequence of an incorrect management of the cultural diversity.

Trainning for young bloggers “No Hate Speech”.

This activity was hold in Madrid on 24 June 2014 and it was developed in collaboration with the INJUVE (National Coordinator of the Campaign “No Hate”) and with the Spanish Children’s “Cibercorresponsables”.

The aim of this training, in which thirty young people between 14 and 18 years old and facilitating with two professionals from the CJE, was develop their abilities and promote and defend the Human Rights online.

International Conference “Tothether against hate Speech and Hate Crime: Innovative partnership initiatives between governments, civil society and international organizations

Spain has been on 27 November 2014 the European epicenter for combating hate Speech and Hate Crime during the international conference “Tothether against hate Speech and Hate Crime: Innovative partnership initiatives between governments, civil society and international organizations”. This conference has brought together high-level representatives of international civil society organizations and NGOs across Europe, as well as Spanish government representatives and NGOs all active in combating hate speech and hate crime.

To organize the Conference, the NGOs Platform of Social Action has collaborated with the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Spain, the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality and it has been financed by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2009-2014.
