The Platform forms part of CIVICUS, the Worldwide Alliance for Citizen Participation. It consists of an international organisation made up by a thousand members from a hundred different countries who work to strengthen citizen action and civil society.

Comité Europeo de Asociaciones de Interés General (CEDAG) / European Committee of Associations of General Interest

The Platform participates in the development of the European project of CEDAG, whose objective is to strengthen the relationship between civil society and community institutions by a frame agreement for negotiation. The Platform has shared, along with the remaining European platforms, the experience elaborating the Strategic Plan of the Third/Social Sector in Spain and the work in the Spanish NGO Council of Social Action, confirming it as one of the most valuable experiences within Europe as regards compromise, as well as sectoral improvement in self-definition and prioritisation of objectives.

Pacto Mundial / World Pact

The World Pact is an initiative proposed by the United Nations. Its objective is to achieve a voluntary commitment from entities regarding social responsibility by introducing the Ten Principles based on labour, human and environmental rights and the battle against corruption.

Plataforma Social Europea / European Social Platform

The Platform is an observant member of the European Social Platform, which represent more than forty European NGOs, networks and federations that work in favour of social inclusion and towards promoting the social dimension of the European Union. It was founded in 1995 and its main objective is to deepen dialogue between European institutions regarding social political issues. The members of the social Platform belong to thousands of local, regional, national and international organisations, associations and voluntary groups that represent the interests of numerous communities of civil society. Among others: women, the elderly, the disabled, gays and lesbians, youth, children and families.

They work together as national cross-sectoral civil society associations to develop, support and provide voice across Europe for civil society organizations for the benefit of the millions of people that they serve and represent.
